Calculation of the probability of failure-free operation of a power transmission line taking into account external influences
When operating a smart grid, reliability information is essential. This information is obtained through monitoring to identify areas of network elements that are susceptible to accidents and to prevent accidents. Calculating the probability of a power line's failure-free operation should be done taking into account external influences on the line. The calculation method involves dividing the power line into successively connected sections located in zones affected by various climatic factors, followed by calculating the reliability parameters of each section and the reliability of the entire line as the product of these parameters. The influence of external conditions is taken into account using coefficients. To eliminate the possibility of disconnecting undamaged lines due to the failure of one section, the network is being modernized with the implementation of an autocluster network structure. This modernization involves restructuring the power supply system and combining its sections into clusters of interconnected feeders, as well as removing obsolete network sections (unloaded branches of the overall network). Analysis of the calculated parameters shows that taking climatic factors into account is necessary to obtain more veracious reliability indicators and enables the selection of optimal solutions for smart grid management. The implementation of an autocluster structure helps significantly improve the reliability of the power grid.
