Mathematical modeling of operation of azimuth thruster of drilling vessel while moving arbitrarily
Abstract. The mathematical model of operation of azimuth thruster of drilling vessel has been worked out in the paper. The azimuth thrusters are used as main propulsion devices of drilling vessels at dynamic positioning. The mathematical model allows to calculate values of reactive force constituents occurring while operating in conditions of drilling vessel arbitrary movement accounting peculiarities of dynamic positioning.
