Abstract. The results of an effective and cheap method of suppressing the formation of nitrogen oxides by staged combustion of kansk-achinsk coal on the boiler BKZ-75-39FB have been presented. The method differs from the classical version by a number of design and technological features. The problem of optimum air distribution for reducing the core temperature flame by conjugate gradient methods has been solved. The ways of further development of this method have been shown.
