Abstract. A mathematical model of the process of development of aesthetic needs in the human psyche has been constructed and analysed. It has been demonstrated that the reason why a state of demand appears in this case is not the lack of necessary energy or substances in the organism, but the excess of current information. The nature of the demand curve variability has been analysed. It has been shown that in case of prolonged absence of satisfaction of such need, the demand gradually disappears.
