Feeding peculiarities of the Phocidae kept in captivity

Abstract. The results of the research concerning feeding of the pinnipeds kept in captivity have been presented. It has been established that seasonal changes and change of biological rhythms have the minimum influence on feeding of the animals in captivity conditions. The assumptions have been obtained that the longer animals live in captivity, the more significant are the deflections from seasonal changes in feeding typical for the natural habitat.
