Peculiarities of photosynthesizing activity of Pinus sylvestris L. tree needles in coniferous forests of the Kola Peninsula
Abstract. A research of photosynthesizing activity of Pinus sylvestris L. tree needles has been carried out for coniferous forests in the Kola Peninsula. An estimation of СЃhlorophyll (a+b) and carotenoid concentration in needles has been presented. The general laws of pigment accumulation process in needles have been revealed and certain adaptive changes to the extreme conditions of the Kola Peninsula at the level of photosynthetic processes have been considered.
