Historical materialism of Karl Marx and his modern assessment
Abstract. The paper contains modern assessment of the historical materialism of Karl Marx, underlying principles of his doctrine have been revealed. The nature of human work and its role in the development of social relations have been analyzed, stages of social progress and its criteria have been shown; thereby main concepts of Karl Marx philosophy of history have been actualized.
