On the question about sailing qualities of vessel during ice navigation
Abstract. The paper presents the analysis of ice navigation in port waters, which is regarded as swimming in two-phase medium with vertical distribution. The method for determining the viscosity component of resistance in ice-aquatic medium has been described. Two-phase medium has been proposed to be considered as non-Newtonian liquid.
