Scientific and technical progress and ideological crisis of the present
Abstract. Scientific and technical progress has been represented as one of the factors contributing to the ideological crisis of the modern era. Conditionality of individual life purpose by socio-historical senses has been analyzed. Derivativeness of consumer society ideology from concepts of scientific and technical progress has been shown. Basic incompatibility of material and utilitarian progress and the related values – socio-historical senses – has been substantiated.
