Philosophical problems in the works of George Berkeley
Abstract. The paper considers the criticism of grounds of Newton's mathematical analysis given by George Berkeley in his philosophical works. The paper analyzes the position of Newton and Berkeley on the subject. Emergence and development of the theory of infinitesimal is the basis of mathematical analysis. The modern set theory gives the complete solution to this problem. The relevance of this work stems from the fact that the present situation in physics and mathematics is similar to that evolved in the formation of classical science.
