Effects of development of offshore oil and gas fields on pelagic algal cenoses of the Barents Sea
Abstract. The paper analyzes possible effects of the offshore oil and gas industry on pelagic algal cenoses of the Barents Sea basing on some published and newly obtained data. Sources of technogenic contamination at different stages of exploratory and production development of oil and gas fields have been described as well.
