Accumulation and redistribution of sedimentary material in the mouth zone of the river Gr?ndahl (Spitsbergen)
Abstract. The paper presents the results of the summer and winter observations in 2012, for redistribution of sediment in the littoral zone of the eastern shore of the Gren-fjord (Svalbard). Grain-size analysis of samples as well as mineralogical, petrographic and morphometric determination of sand particles have been carried out. The characteristic of the state of the coastal fast ice has been given. Contemporary exogenous factors affecting the accumulation and redistribution of precipitation in the region have been analyzed.
