Estimation of indicators of ship electrical equipment reliability, influence on the marine safety and probability of insurance risks
Abstract. The authors present the calculation of electrical equipment reliability using the data of IR-thermography diagnostic of various vessels in different dates. The indicators of ships operation efficiency and safety depend essentially on reliability. Application of technical diagnostic's systems allows preventing or substantially reducing the number of ship equipment failures, forced stop at sea, and therefore the number of insurance cases.
