Stress state of band with the system of periodic cracks

Abstract. The results of experimental study of stress concentration around the tip of transverse cracks in crossband have been considered. The study has been carried out by the method of photoelasticity using "freezing" of deformations. The values of the stress intensity factor of the first and second types have been received. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical solution.
