Metamorphic evolution of pyroxenites from the Gridino eclogite-bearing complex (Pryanishnay Luda Island)
Abstract. The results of complex investigation of geological position and metamorphism of pyroxenites from the Gridino eclogite-bearing complex (Pryanishnay Luda Island) have been presented; the early garnet-ortopyroxene mineral paragenesis allowing evaluating initial PT-parameters of these rocks formation has been revealed. As a result of thermobarometric calculations the parameters of pressures (close to the Qtz-Coe1 line) corresponding to metamorphism eclogite facies have been determined; it has been also established that metapyroxenites and eclogites have a common metamorphic history.
