Transformation of mode of fishery industry operation, social issues of Russian coast-dwellers and indigenous peoples of the North
Abstract. The paper analyses processes that took place in the fishery sector of the country (1990-2014) and affecting up to date on the socio-economic situation in the Murmansk and Arkhangelsk regions. Some problems of functioning of the Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet, process of import substitution in the shipbuilding industry and creation of modern facilities for fish processing have been considered. Specific aspects of social and cultural development of Euro-Arctic region population have been analysed.
