Against Modern: Comparative analysis of anti-modernist concepts
Abstract. This paper discusses and compares traditionalism, fundamentalism and conservatism as ideological and mental attempts to resist Modernity. Despite the morphological proximity these spiritual movements differ substantively. Based on the methodology of the Traditionalist school the comparative analysis of these movements in relation to the main link of the domain (Tradition) has been carried out; their semiotic similarity in opposition to secularism as well as fundamental differences in the perception of the structure of traditional spirituality have been shown. Such mental phenomena as fanaticism and utopianism have been also considered.
