Computer technology and mathematics at the end of the XX century: results and perspectives
Abstract. In the paper the new mathematical methods, which are related to the progress of computer engineering and technologies in the second half of the XX century, have been considered. In the work the applied character of the mathematics development in this period has been shown. This development is directed mainly on the problem of Artificial Intelligence creation in the next century. The solution of this problem is impossible without progress of the new mathematical approaches to the processes of subjective recognition of images. The examples of such approaches are fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic, wavelets and other parts of modern mathematics. Now the latest achievements in mathematics must be presented in modern university mathematical courses.
