Abstract. The concept "knowledge" and some kinds of work with it have been determined. The questions of the technical means usage for obtaining of knowledge have been considered. The author shows that one of the methods of the knowledge extraction is a statistical analysis of data. The attempt of working out of the approach to methods of the knowledge formation has been made.
