Abstract. In the paper the problems of tourism and formation of the regional tourist complex in Kandalaksha and in the adjacent territories have been considered. The importance of the problems highlighted in the paper is determined by a number of the factors defining possibility and problems of tourism development both in the whole country and in the studied region as well.
