On processing of full-scale tests' results considering trajectory observations of manoeuvres
Abstract. The new approach to processing of full-scale experiments' results on vessel manoeuvring has been proposed. It includes more complete using of the manoeuvre trajectory information, that allows to obtain all kinematic characteristics. The processing uses a spline-approximation of the trajectory parametrized by time, and allows to smooth the influence of the observation result errors to some extend. However, the method claimes a rather rigid requirements to the level of these errors and it leads to the further perfecting of the vessel observation tools (for example, using of DGPS or GPS P-code).
