On the data correctness of thermodynamic properties of the melt components
Abstract. The absence of the correct data on thermodynamic characteristics of silicate melts' simple and compound components is the most important problem for modelling of nature systems crystallization processes. The paper has shown the incompetence of using reference literature data for modelling of minerals' thermodynamic characteristics. The author has analyzed the behaviour of natrium tetroborate in a wide temperature range. The results have proved the necessity to know thermal capacity as well as correct values of entropy, enthalpy and the Gibbs' free energy for modelling of magmatic melt crystallization process.
