The history of philosophy in modern philosophical knowledge
Abstract. The paper considers the meaning and role of the history of philosophy in the structure and content of the modern philosophical knowledge. The characteristics of historical formation and evolution of historical and philosophical knowledge in the European classical philosophy has been given. The results of realisation of the programme (declared by Gegel) "the philosophy of the history of philosophy" have been considered. The forms and consequences of expansion of historical and philosophical knowledge in the content of modern theoretical philosophy have been analysed. In the postamble the grounds of the history of philosophy playing the dominating role in the modern philosophy have been pointed out, the estimation of the situation and assumptions concerning it perspectives have been formulated.
