Masonry in Russia: From the beginnings till the final prohibition
Abstract. The paper considers the appearance and development of masonry in Russia. The description of basic masonic systems widely spread among the Russian masons has been given. The activity of masonic lodges in the Moscow University has been described. It has been pointed out that masonry had a great influence on cultural and social life of the Russian nobility.
