The philosophical grounds of the idea of progress in the social conception of N.V. Shelgunov
Abstract. The paper considers the idea of progress which has become a new paradigm of the Russian philosophical ideas of the second half of the XIX century. The work of N.V. Shelgunov has been analyzed in the context of the philosophical grounds of the idea of progress as a complex integrated process. The scientific validity of the Shelgunov's conception has been underlined by precise substantiation of the progress structure and criteria, motive forces and antinomic character of the progress.
