Biochemical investigations of some Barents Sea commercial fish species in the conditions of man-made pollution
Abstract. The data of biochemical investigations (period 1998-2003) of some Barents Sea commercial fish species for estimating the status indicator of hydrobionts as components of water ecosystems of the Kola North in the conditions of man-made pollution have been considered in this paper. The analysis of the data has shown seasonal nature of the dynamics of the basic chemical characteristics' contents (water, total protein and amine nitrogen, water-soluble protein, lipids, mineral) and biochemical properties (the activity of proteases) of fishes. The native data have been compared with the previous data of the laboratory of hydrobionts biochemistry of the Polar Research Institute of Marine Fishery and Oceanography by N.M. Knipovich.
