Off-centre way of formation of vessel movement equations
Abstract. Movement equations have been formulated as applied to vessel manoeuvrability. Movement equations have been considered to be classical ones of rigid disc dynamics. The rigid disc possesses its own inertiality and is influenced by active forces of the mover and reactive forces of surrounding water including inertial forces as well. There is a difference from the traditional point of view which considers movement equations to be equations of inertial equilibrium of the system "vessel – surrounding liquid". Some specificity in co-ordinates' choice has also taken place in the paper.
