The doctrine of A.I.Herzen on formations, or conditions of mankind
Abstract. In the paper the ideas of А.I.Herzen on historical process as a consecutive change "of social formations" of mankind created by an advanced public idea of an epoch have been considered. Hertzen’s concept of "reconstruction of society", ideas of the philosopher about ways of societies’ "reorganization" of various countries in the XIX century under the influence of idea of socialism have been analyzed.
