Thinkers of the "silver century" about the problem of personality's role in history
Abstract. The paper considers philosophical views of Russian thinkers P.L. Lavrov and N.K. Mikhailovskii of the second part of the XIXth century on the problem of social progress. These views were presented in the "theory of progress" (Lavrov) and the "formula of progress" (Mikhailovskii).
