The influence of West-European philosophy on formation of ideas about life, death and immortality in Russian immortology
Abstract. The paper considers the notion of "capable" subject concluded by Paul Ricoeur in its close connection with the anthropological aspect of stateness. The problem of compulsion and different forms of violence, rational and irrational aspects of the stateness and that of moral choice that every citizen makes has been analyzed.
