Metaphysics and ambivalent nature of philosophy
Abstract. In the paper the problem of succession in the history on the example of correlation of the two cultural spheres (the ancient Greece and Rome) has been considered. The author has examined the identity and difference of their mythical, political and moral positions. The possible way of the following consideration of historical synthesis of two original sources of the western civilization has been proposed.
