Basis of the anthropological system of P.L. Lavrov
Abstract. The paper deals with the question how metaphysics has been regarded throughout the history of philosophy. The modern view on philosophy has been presented, according to which philosophy is a special kind of metaphysical (limit) knowledge. Philosophy is characterized by the ambivalence of its subject, which is both rationally theoretical and axiologically emotional conceiving of being.
