A study of the stress-strain state peculiarities of rock mass adjacent to large open-pit excavation
Abstract. In this paper the results of numerical 3D simulation of rock mass stress-strain state in vicinity of the perspective diamond deposit have been presented. Numerical simulation has been carried out for different depths of open pit taking into account basic mining and geological factors. The stress-strain state estimation of barrier pillar between open-pit and underground mine was performed. As a result of the investigations the optimal parameters of the open-pit have been proposed.
