The Saamsky fault (the Khibiny massif) – an abnormal nature of the recent deformations
Abstract. The Laubscher’s MRMR rock mass classification system has been described in this paper. The ratings definition of ores and host rocks of diamond deposit located in the Russian Federation has been carried out. It has been shown that ores and host rocks, according to MRMR classification, belong to the 4th class and have poor stability (good cavability), except for the rocks of the Upper assise. The mining method selection and underground openings support recommendations have been given.
