Structure and species diversity of pelagic and bottom-dwelling biocenoses of the Barents Sea in conditions of changing climate
Abstract. The paper analyzes effects of modern climatic trends on the main biotic components of the Barents Sea ecosystem – zooplankton, benthos, and marine fishes. Regional climatic variations are suggested to have sound impacts on quantitative and qualitative characteristics of different zoogeographical groups of zooplankton and benthos, as well as on distribution and migrations of Barents Sea fishes and structures of their populations.
